Inhalation methods are related to the effects on the olfactory and respiratory systems. It quickly and gently changes the emotional and psychological state with the association of the aroma. 1. Aroma Lamp
Application: The molecules of essential oil evaporate along with water in the air, aromatizing the room and are absorbed by the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. This method changes the emotional balance slowly and gently but continuously for a few hours, depending on the heating time of the water with the oil. Good to use to create a certain atmosphere. Often used at home for deodorizing and disinfecting the premises and as a means to change the emotional and psychological state.
2. Oil Burner
Application: Fill the bowl to the proper level with warm water, add 2 to 8 drops of essential oil or mixture to the water and light a tea candle underneath the bowl. For the first time, use no more than 3-4 drops of essential oils, warming up to 30 minutes to ensure that you do not have an allergic reaction. e) Atomizer or spritzer

Acts slowly and gently over a period of 20 minutes to two hours. Used in the home, for preventive and maintenance purposes, similar to the use of the burner.
Use: Mix 250 ml of scented water, one half teaspoon of alcohol and 3-10 drops of essential oil. Spray 2-4 times a day. Mixture can be stored up to 4 weeks with alcohol and 6-7 days without alcohol. Shake the bottle before each use.
f) Individual spirits
Application: Essential oil or mixture slowly evaporates from the skin surface allowing the molecules to be absorbed in the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract. Changes the state slowly and gradually, influences from several minutes to several hours. Widely used in home for preventive and maintenance purposes.
Use: For preparation of the compositions use a mixture of oil-base (best to use a neutral smell like jojoba oil) and essential oils 3-5 (floral such as rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, neroli, patchouli, etc.). Add 10 ml of oil base to 10-30 ml essential oils or mixture. Add the oil slowly, observing the changes of the aroma. In the compositions of perfume, you should select essential oils with different degrees of volatility. As conventional spirits, pure essential oils or perfume composition are applied to the pulse points (wrists, jugular fossa, behind the ear, etc.).
g) Individual eau de cologne or eau de toilette

Use: For eau de cologne mix a solution of essential oils made of 200 ml of alcohol or vodka added to 10-25 drops of essential oils. Select spirit like compositions. For eau de toilette mix a water and alcohol solution with essential oils. Add 10-20 drops essential oils with 50 ml of alcohol or vodka and mix with 150 ml boiled or distilled water. Shake well before using. Like spirits, the composition is applied to the pulse points.
4. Hot inhalations
Application: The molecules of essential oils evaporate intensely with the water and are absorbed by the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract. Fast and strongly modifies the condition for up to several hours. Good for colds as well as shock and severe stress reaction.
Use: Add 2-6 drops of essential oil or mixture to one liter of freshly boiled water in a bowl. Place your head over the bowl and cover your head with a towel to form a tent. With eyes closed, inhale the vapors for 5-10 minutes. The procedure may be performed up to 3 times a day. Do not use this method if you have asthma.
5. Sauna bath
Application: Under the influence of high temperature the molecules of essential oils evaporate and the vapors are absorbed by the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract. Fast and strongly alters the condition, the duration of exposure could be up to several hours. Recommended for severe psychological disorders. A good preventive procedure.
Use: Add 5-15 drops of essential oils to a cup of water and spray on the heated walls, benches and shelves. Aromatize the room every hour. Do not pour water with essential oils directly on the hot stones, as this degrades the effect of the oils and possible scorching.
