Composition:
5-6 drops of chamomile and 3 drops of tea tree, or sandalwood.

Aromatherapy Bath Recipes (Change State, Cold, Depression, PMS)

Bathing with essential oils is one of the easiest ways to implement aromatherapy and its benefits. The relaxing properties of hot water compliment the effects of well-chosen essential oils. Aromatic baths are invigorating, refreshing and can provide relief from stress and anxiety, improve a woeful state of mind, premenstrual syndrome, assist with muscle pains, soothe frayed nerves at the end of a busy day, or offer a sensual introduction to a romantic evening with your partner.

It is especially important that you use an emulsifier in the bath. Otherwise, there is a risk that if the concentrated droplets of some essential oils come into direct contact with the skin, especially on more sensitive areas of the body, they can irritate or even burn. You can mix essential oil in a tablespoon of emulsifier such as vegetable or cosmetic oils, milk, cream, buttermilk, or honey. Add to the tub and mix well to ensure that the blend has dispersed well in the water.
Mix base oil and essential oil for storage in a tightly capped bottle. Amber or dark colored glass bottles are recommended. Choose a cool dark place for storage (not refrigerator) to preserve their freshness and potency. Shake well to mix before each use.

Here are some suggestions for making your own blends.

Relaxing
Mix 5 drops lavender oil and 2 drops each of ylang-ylang and rose oils.

Tonic
Mix 4 drops each of rosemary and peppermint oils and 2 drops sweet orange, tangerine or mandarin oil.

Refreshing

Awakening
Mix 3 drops each of rosemary and lemon oils and 2 drops eucalyptus or peppermint oil.

Enhancing sensuality or blend-aphrodisiacs
Mix 4 drops each ylang-ylang and sandalwood oils and 2 drops of sweet basil oil.

For colds
1. Mix 5 drops eucalyptus oil and 2 drops each of peppermint and lavender oils.

2. Mix 6 drops of eucalyptus oil and 3 drops each of frankincense and hyssop oils.

3. Mix 3 drops each of ginger and black pepper oils, 2 drops of nutmeg oil and 1 drop of lemongrass oil.
